Walmart recalls 2026: what's recalled and how to get a refund

As of September 25, 2026, the newest recall we've verified of a brand sold only at Walmart is bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine (UPC 194346442706, lots L6079C or L6080C), recalled September 15 for possible Listeria. Great Value, Marketside and Mainstays items were also recalled this year. Match the UPC and lot on your package, then follow the notice; many offer a full refund.

Is anything from Walmart recalled right now?

Yes — several 2026 recalls of Walmart store brands are recent or still active, including bettergoods, Great Value, Marketside and Mainstays items. Walmart's own recall page lists recalls for items sold in its stores, on Walmart.com and at Sam's Club. It links to each company's or agency's notice, but it doesn't show UPCs, lot numbers or whether a recall has ended. The cards and table below add those details from the official notices.

Walmart store-brand recalls in 2026 (Great Value, Marketside, bettergoods, Mainstays and more)

These are the 2026 recalls we've verified of Walmart store brands and brands sold only at Walmart, newest first. Status is as of September 25, 2026. “Class” is FDA's recall classification; CPSC recalls show the number of units instead.

Walmart pharmacy and health items

• Vitruvias Thyroid Tablets, USP 30 mg — lot 504950, NDC 69680-166-00, exp. 9/30/2026, recalled because testing confirmed “the potential for the product to be superpotent.” Walmart's recall page says it was “Sold at select Walmart Pharmacies in the following states: MS, TX, MO, FL, OK, GA, NC, MN, CA, OH, LA, PA and all Sam's Club Pharmacies.” The FDA notice itself doesn't name Walmart. FDA says patients “should not discontinue use without contacting their healthcare provider.” FDA's notice describes Thyroid, USP as “a natural preparation derived from porcine thyroid glands composed of levothyroxine and liothyronine” — it isn't the same product as levothyroxine-only tablets. • TRUE METRIX blood glucose meters (Trividia Health) — an FDA Class I device recall (Z-1547-2026, Ongoing). Trividia issued a correction with updated use instructions for the E-5 error code; it is a correction, not a product return. FDA says to follow its safety communication for TRUE METRIX users. Walmart lists it as “Sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com.” Walmart's return policy lists diabetic supplies as final-sale items, so follow the recall notice's instructions.

Other brands recalled that Walmart sold in its stores

Many recalls involve national brands that Walmart sold alongside other retailers. For these, the manufacturer runs the recall — follow its notice. Rows where only Walmart's page names Walmart are marked.

Walmart's list says it “is not all-inclusive.” Food recalls of national brands at Walmart that have their own page here include Martina mangoes (select Walmart stores in CT, NY, NJ and PA). FSIS also issued a public health alert — not a recall — for meat and poultry items made with the recalled jalapeños; Walmart lists it on its recall page (FSIS alert).

Bought it on Walmart.com? Walmart vs. Marketplace sellers

If Walmart sold the item, Walmart's return policy covers recalls; if a Marketplace seller sold it on Walmart.com, Walmart says to follow the recall notice or work with the manufacturer or seller. See the policy wording below.

How to tell who sold it

1. Read who the notice says to contact.In 2026 CPSC notices, recalls of items Walmart sold list Walmart as the consumer contact (Mainstays dressers, Ozark Trail stoves: Walmart at 800-925-6278 or walmart.com/help). Recalls of items sold by third-party sellers name the seller instead — for example, “Contact Raybee-Direct by email” for EnHomee dressers “Sold on Walmart.com by Raybee-Direct.”
2. Check your Walmart.com order history.Walmart's help page says: “Your purchase history on Walmart.com displays the latest eligible date for a return or replacement.”

Items Walmart lists as “Sold at Walmart.com”

Many entries on Walmart's recall page only say “Sold at Walmart.com.” Walmart's list doesn't say whether Walmart or a Marketplace seller sold these items. Check the recall notice for who handles the remedy. For these 2026 recalls, Walmart lists the item as sold at Walmart.com but the CPSC notice's retailer list doesn't name Walmart; we show both sources as published:

Bought from a liquidator or reseller?

Walmart's help page says: “Items purchased from dealers or resellers and not Walmart or Walmart.com directly aren't eligible for return, refund, or exchange.” But a recall notice can say otherwise — the Mainstays dresser reannouncement is aimed at people who bought from liquidators and tells them to contact Walmart for a full refund. The recall notice is what counts.

Can you return a recalled item to Walmart? What Walmart's policy says

Sometimes. Walmart's return policy says some recalled items can be returned or refunded at Walmart, while others require you to work with the manufacturer — the recall notice tells you which. This is the “Recalled Items” section of Walmart's return policy, word for word (page updated August 17, 2026; captured September 25, 2026):

Recalled Items

Items Sold by Walmart: “Some recalled items are eligible for return, refund, or store credit from Walmart, but for others, you may need to work directly with the manufacturer for repair, replacement or refund. Some items may be eligible for refund but not return. More information about specific product recalls can be found here: Product Recalls. WIC/SNAP exclusions apply.”

Items Sold by a Marketplace Seller: “Please follow the instructions in the recall notice, or contact or work directly with the manufacturer, or seller.”

How to check if your Walmart item is recalled

A product name alone isn't enough — Walmart sells many sizes and lots, and recalls usually cover specific codes and dates.

1. Find the product name, UPC, lot or date code. Food notices often say where: “stamped on the back,” “front of the package.” Furniture and appliances use a model or tracking/lot number on a label.
2. Search the UPC or lot on this site: UPC/lot lookup.
3. Compare with the tables above and the official notice. Every identifier must match.
4. Check Walmart's recall page, corporate.walmart.com/recalls, which covers Walmart stores, Walmart.com and Sam's Club.
5. For car seats and auto parts use the NHTSA checker; for medicine, ask your pharmacist.

Walmart recall texts and emails: how to spot a scam

Walmart says it “does not send text messages about product recalls and instead communicates product recall information through official websites and direct email notifications.” If you get a suspicious text, Walmart asks you to screenshot it and email it to [email protected].
