Is Wawa chocolate milk still recalled?

No. Wawa’s February 2026 milk recall is over. On February 18, 2026, Wawa recalled four 16 oz drinks (Double Dutch Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Milk, Cookies and Cream Milk and 2% Reduced Fat Milk) for possible soft plastic pieces. FDA classified it Class II and terminated it on April 7, 2026. Only bottles with a March 2, 2026 code date (March 5 for 2%) from some PA, NJ, DE and MD stores were affected.

Which Wawa milks were recalled? (UPC list)

Four 16 oz Wawa Beverage Company drinks were recalled on February 18, 2026. Only bottles with these UPCs and code dates are included.

Is the Wawa milk recall over?

Yes. FDA terminated all four recall records on April 7, 2026, after classifying the recall Class II on March 18, 2026.

• February 17, 2026: recall initiated (FDA)
• February 18, 2026: Wawa announcement; products “removed from sale and disposed of by impacted stores”
• March 18, 2026: FDA classified the recall Class II
• March 25, 2026: published in FDA’s Enforcement Report
• April 7, 2026: FDA terminated the recall

Terminated means “FDA has determined that all reasonable efforts have been made to remove or correct the violative product” (openFDA). That doesn’t make a recalled bottle safe to drink. If you still have one, throw it away. How FDA recall status works.

Class II covers “products that might cause a temporary health problem, or pose only a slight threat of a serious nature” (openFDA).

As of October 12, 2026, we found no newer Wawa milk recall in FDA records (data as of September 30, 2026), and Wawa’s recall page lists no current alerts.

How to check your bottle

1. It’s a 16 oz Wawa-brand bottle of one of the four drinks above. Wawa said “no other Wawa branded products are included in the recall.”
2. Match the UPC under the barcode with the table (UPC vs lot number).
3. Match the code date: March 2, 2026 (March 5, 2026 for 2% Reduced Fat Milk).
4. It was bought at a Wawa in PA, NJ, DE or MD. Wawa said no stores in other states were affected.
5. Another size or another code date isn’t part of this recall.

What to do if you still have a recalled bottle

Don’t drink it. Wawa told customers to dispose of it immediately and contact Wawa for a refund in the form of a Wawa Gift Card.

This is what Wawa’s February 2026 notice said; we have not confirmed how Wawa handles refunds for it today, so contact Wawa directly. Wawa’s notice didn’t mention returning bottles to the store; it said to dispose of them and contact Wawa. Other Wawa drink recalls (2025–2026)

September 2025: whole milk and strawberry milk

Wawa Beverage Company recalled these 16 oz drinks on September 23, 2025 for “potential foreign object contamination” (FDA). FDA classified the recall Class II and terminated it June 17, 2026.

April 2026: iced tea, diet lemonade and fruit punch (undeclared milk)

These aren’t milk drinks. They were recalled because they might contain milk, which isn’t on the label, a risk for people with a milk allergy. FDA classified the recall Class I. FDA lists it as completed; it has not been formally terminated. Code dates are printed on top of the bottle. FDA announcement (April 3, 2026).

A Taylor Fresh Foods pico de gallo labelled “Distributed by Wawa” was recalled in August 2026 for possible Salmonella (FDA H-1367-2026, Kentucky lots); it isn’t a milk product.
