CPSC recall 27-076 · Announced November 5, 2026 · Magnetopia · Last updated
Is my Magnetopia magnetic cube set recalled?
Yes — if the back of the packaging lists a Magnetopia style/model in the recall table (MAT-030 through MAT-040, plus T009, T025, T076, T078). On November 5, 2026, CPSC announced Magnetopia’s recall of about 7,600 magnetic building cube and block sets (recall 27-076), sold in 60-, 100-, 150-, and 200-piece sets. Magnets can become loose if the cubes break or open, posing a magnet ingestion hazard to children; swallowed high-powered magnets can attract each other or metal objects in the digestive system and cause perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death. No incidents reported as of the CPSC notice. Stop using the cubes immediately. Contact Magnetopia for a full refund — email [email protected] or use recall.magnetopia.com; you will receive a pre-paid return label.

Magnet ingestion hazard
CPSC: “The recalled magnetic building cubes contain magnets that can become loose if the cubes break or open, posing a magnet ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.”
Incidents/Injuries (CPSC): None reported.
This page is not medical advice. If a child may have swallowed magnets, seek emergency care. Do not invent injury/death case counts or symptom checklists beyond the CPSC hazard wording.
