Is any Halloween candy recalled in 2026?
Yes, one so far. On August 31, 2026, FDA posted Crystal Temptations’ recall of Halloween Chocolatey Eyeballs because they contain milk that isn’t declared on the label. They were sold at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post in 13 states. Check for style numbers 54040-CHEY, 54077-CHEY, 58008-CHEY, 58089-CHEY or 54083-CHEY. If anyone in your house has a milk allergy, don’t eat them. Destroy them and contact Crystal Temptations (1-201-246-7990) with proof of purchase for a refund; stores won’t refund them. FDA-posted announcement: “Crystal Temptations of North Arlington, NJ is recalling Halloween Chocolatey Eyeballs because they contain undeclared MILK allergens. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”
Brand on the FDA summary: Little Temptations; the label reads “Crystal Temptations.” Identify it by the style number and packaging on the label:

The announcement says a TJX analyst found that eyeballs containing whey (milk) were distributed in packaging that did not reveal milk, caused by “a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes.” FDA’s notice does not publish UPCs, lot codes or unit counts.
What to do: “Consumers who have purchased Crystal Temptations Chocolatey eyeballs are urged to destroy the product. Refunds are not available at the point of sale; consumers must reach out to Crystal Temptations with proof of purchase for a refund.” Crystal Temptations: 1-201-246-7990, Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET. Ricky Joy Sour Crush candy bottles (choking hazard)
CPSC 26-748 (September 10, 2026): about 2.3 million Sour Crush rolling liquid candy bottles. “The rolling ball on the recalled candy bottles can detach, posing a risk of serious injury or death from choking hazard.” No injuries reported. Stop using them, take them away from children and contact Ricky Joy for a refund (prepaid return label).
