How to tell if your DREO heater is recalled
Check the label on the heater’s underside. CPSC includes the unit only if:
- Model number is
DR-HSH015, and - Manufacture date (YYYY/MM) is from 2025/04 through 2026/01 (April 2025 through January 2026).
CPSC describes a black ceramic electric heater about 11.5 inches wide and 13 inches tall with a remote control, and “DREO” on the front. DREO’s firm page also markets this model as Whole-Room Heater 715 (firm wording — CPSC lists model DR-HSH015 only).
CPSC did not publish UPCs for this recall — this page does not invent them. Photos: see CPSC’s notice.
Fire and burn hazard
CPSC: “The recalled space heaters can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.”
CPSC: “DREO has received 17 reports of space heaters igniting, three resulting in property damage and one in a burn injury to the hand.”
This page is not medical advice. Seek care for burns. If there is a fire, leave and call emergency services.
How to get the free replacement
CPSC: “Consumers should stop using the recalled space heaters immediately and contact DREO for a free replacement space heater. Consumers will be asked to unplug the space heater, destroy it by cutting the electrical cord and follow instructions to send a photo of the destroyed heater.”
- Stop using the recalled space heater immediately.
- Unplug it.
- Destroy it by cutting the electrical cord.
- Follow instructions to send a photo of the destroyed heater.
- Contact DREO for a free replacement space heater.
DREO’s firm registration form asks for product info from the bottom label (including serial number) and a clear photo per their instructions (firm). After approval, DREO estimates delivery about 10 business days after shipment (firm estimate — not a CPSC guarantee).
