MTD Recalls Utility Vehicles Due to Fire Hazard
Why was MTD Utility Vehicles recalled?
Excessive heat can cause the wiring harness to melt. This defect can result in a fire hazard to consumers.
What should I do if I have this product?
Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact their Cub Cadet dealership to have their utility vehicle serviced at no charge. All known consumers have been contacted. Each reworked utility vehicle has a green "X" label on the model/serial tag. Product description
The recalled utility vehicle is a four-wheel-drive vehicle with "Cub Cadet, Tracker Edition" printed on the side panel. This vehicle has roll over protection and an open cargo bed in the back with "Volunteer" printed on the side. It is equipped with a Kohler electronic fuel-injected engine. The model/serial plate is located under the driver's seat.
